Bud Light Lime Lime-a-Rita Review

Today’s Discussion will be about Bud Light Lime Lime-a-Rita!

Last April, Bud Light Lime Lime-A-Rita hit shelves, and in less than eight months, became the leading flavored malt beverage brand on the market, selling more than 500,000 barrels.

Bud Light Lime Lime-a-Rita Nutritional Information

Calories per 12 oz serving 247
    Carbs 43.7
    Fat 0
    Alcohol 8% by volume

The green color is putrid. Truly not pretty at all. There is an effervescence, and smells a tad Margarita-y when poured. When left to sit a while, the yeast come to the forefront. Going down, it is bubbly and takes more like a Margarita than an ale. There is no head at all, so don’t expect many ale qualities.

The big negative is this goes down very, very easy. Not too tart, not too sweet, it is like drinking a pop – and at 165 calories in a 8oz can, and 8% of alcohol, that can be a bad thing.

I love, love, love the Bud Light Lime Lime-a-Rita Review. Last year, we bought three cases worth, and for us that is a HUGE amount of a malt liquor product. I highly recommend giving it a try if you enjoy beer, ale or some other type of malt beverage. It is different and delicious!

I wrote about this last year on Coupons, Deals and more, but wanted to re-run an updated post because in the next week or two I plan on reviewing the Straw-Ber-Rita I have no idea if it can measure up to the Bud Light Lime Lime-A-Rita, but I am willing to give it a try!

As always, drink responsibly and please don’t drink and drive.

Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls

When posting New York State pictures on Monday, I knew it wouldn’t be complete without a picture of Niagara Falls. So, Hubby, Max and I hopped into the car a few weeks ago and took the trip up to the Falls for some pictures. Like many people who live very close to Niagara Falls, we don’t go very often – the visit is usually reserved for when company comes to town. I keep forgetting just how majestic the Falls are! Since if was a cold, blustery day, there weren’t that many visitors, and so I could take a lot of photos unimpeded!

There really is a crisis hotline phone located at the end of the Niagara River, just before the Falls form. I sincerely hope it has saved a lot of jumpers. People do not survive jumping over the American Falls.

This is a picture of the Canadian skyline. Is it any wonder people prefer the Falls from the Canadian side? This is what the American side gets to look upon.
