DIY Ombre Plant Pot Materials:

Terra-cotta Pot (used in this tutorial is a 6.3″ pot)
All Purpose Paints:
• White Paint
• Pink Paint (this is done in shades of pink. You could also do: blue, green, orange, purple, yellow, copper… the list of paint color choices is endless!)
Pearl Paint, Fruit Punch
Satin Paint, Wedding Cake
1″ Foam Paint Brushes
• Paper Plate
Aloe Vera or Succulents or Cactus
Cactus and Succulent Soil Mix

DIY Ombre Plant Pot Instructions:

• On a paper plate, squeeze your paint in the following ratios (to form a palette):

• White 1
• Pink to White 1:5
• Pink to White 1:4
• Pink to White 1:3
• Pink to White 1:2
• Pink 1

To explain: you will be doing this in drops so full strength pink and full strength white.
The next step (level) for a drop of pink, you need five drops of white; mix well.
The next step (level) for a drop of pink, you need four drops of white; mix well.
The next step (level) for a drop of pink, you need three drops of white; mix well.
The next step (level) for a drop of pink, you need two drops of white; mix well.

This will create your ombré colors.

• Starting at the top of your pot, paint the top 1/6 white all the way around your pot.

• Just below your white, paint the next 1/6 of your pot the next lightest color (Pink to White 1:5) all the way around your pot.
• Just below your Pink to White 1:5 ratio, paint the next 1/6 of your pot the next lightest color (Pink to White 1:4) all the way around your pot.

• Just below your Pink to White 1:4 ratio, paint the next 1/6 of your pot the next lightest color (Pink to White 1:3) all the way around your pot.
• Just below your Pink to White 1:3 ratio, paint the next 1/6 of your pot the next lightest color (Pink to White 1:2) all the way around your pot.

• Just below your Pink to White 1:2 ratio, paint the final 1/6 of your pot full strength pink all the way around your pot.

• Let your Terra-cotta pot dry, then paint a second coat, repeating the color steps you did for your first coat.
• Let your second coat dry, and fill your pot up the top with your soil.

• Dig a small hole in the center of your soil to replant your Aloe Vera or Succulents or Cactus.
• Press the plant into your hole and add a little more soil on the top of the pot, then press the soil down with your hands
• Lightly water and display.
