Tips and variations for making this Banana Cake Recipe | Easy & Moist with Cream Cheese Frosting
● For best results, use very ripe bananas, as in completely brown or even black skinned. If your bananas are still yellow, toss them in the freezer the day before making this recipe. Be sure to thaw them before you start baking with them.
● It is important to use bananas that are overripe. Not only do overripe bananas add most of the sweetness and flavor in this recipe, but they also help keep it very moist.
● You can use mashed bananas, but I mash them with the brown butter.
● The nuts on top are optional, and so are the sliced fresh bananas, but adding them to me turns this from a very good banana cake recipe into the best banana cake recipe! The little things mean a lot. Try sprinkling a few mini chocolate chips on the top of the cream cheese frosting to switch up the flavor profile.
● Add ½ cup of chopped nuts to the batter for a more nutty flavor.
● This easy banana cake recipe works well for banana muffins or cupcakes, too.

Banana Cake Recipe Directions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. Spray a 9 x 13 pan with cooking spray. Sprinkle a tablespoon of flour to dust the pan and tap to distribute the flour all over the pan.
3. In a medium frying pan, heat the butter over medium heat. Stir constantly until the butter starts to foam and brown, about 5-7 minutes. Watch it carefully, once it starts to foam, it gets brown very quickly. Remove the melted butter from the heat and pour the brown butter into a large mixing bowl.
